ANEMOMETER

Josts offers Constant Temperature Anemometer (CTA), also known as Thermal Anemometry, is a technique for the measurement of turbulence in 1, 2 or 3-dimensional gas and liquid flows, using hot-wire or hot-film probes inserted in the flow.  Constant Temperature Anemometer offered by Josts is suitable for the measurement of flows with very fast fluctuations at a point (high turbulence) and the study of flow micro structures, where there is a need to resolve small flow eddies down to the order of tenths of a mm.

Features:

·       Measures velocities from a few cm/s to supersonic
·       High temporal resolution: fluctuations up to several hundred kHz
·       High spatial resolution: eddies down to 1 mm or less
·       Measures all three velocity components simultaneously
·       Provides instantaneous velocity information
·       Continuous analog output

Josts offers Laser Doppler Anemometer (LDA), also known as Laser Doppler Velocimetry (LDV), is an optical technique ideal for non-intrusive 1D, 2D and 3D point measurement of velocity and turbulence distribution in both free flows and internal flows. Science and industry apply our Laser Doppler Anemometer systems to gain a clearer understanding of fluid mechanics. The measurement results are important steps in fine-tuning product designs to improve aerodynamic efficiency, quality and safety.

Features

·       Non intrusive
·       No calibration required
·       Velocity range 0 to supersonic
·       One, two or three velocity components simultaneously
·       Measurement distance from centimeters to meters
·       Flow reversals can be measured
·       High spatial and temporal resolution
·       Instantaneous and time averaged

Josts offers Phase Doppler Anemometer (PDA) (also known as Particle Dynamics Analysis or PDPA) systems measure the size, velocity and concentration of spherical particles, droplets or bubbles suspended in gaseous or liquid flows. A very common application is the analysis of atomized liquids (sprays) in e.g. fuel injection, spray painting, liquid metal spray and pharmaceutical. Gas lasers and Diode Pumped Solid State lasers are used in Anemometer.

Features

·       Non intrusive
·       Can measure in dense sprays
·       On-line, real time results
·       Simultaneous size and velocity of each droplet or particle
·       Interferometric technique, requires no calibration
·       No prerequisite assumptions on size and velocity distributions
One, two or three velocity components simultaneously
